He began his career in 1976 and has produced or co-produced a number of musicals and plays for Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theatre. His productions have won Tony Awards and he was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2009. The scripts in this collection were submitted to Berlind Productions and date from 1983 to 2013. Some are annotated, and may include a note or letter to Berlind. Some scripts for musicals are accompanied by a sound recording. Not all of the scripts led to productions by Berlind.
