Scope and arrangement
This collection contains mainly professional materials, but includes some personal items such as army documents, biographies, correspondence, educational documents, passports, personal clippings, photographs and royalty statements. This collection is mostly made up of scores for musicals, songs and instrumental pieces written, produced or conceived by Lewine, such as, The Fireman's Flame, The Girl from Wyoming, The Girls Against the Boys, the unproduced The Liberty Tree, Make Mine Manhattan, Naughty-Naught and Two Weeks with Pay. This collection includes scripts, programs, posters, and production files for stage musicals written or produced by Lewine, such as The Beach Point Club Revue of 1935, The Fireman's Flame, Fools Rush In, The Girl From Wyoming, The Girls Against the Boys, The Liberty Tree, Look to the Lilies, Mad Money, Make Mine Manhattan, Murder in the Old Red Barn, Naughty-Naught, the unproduced Pretty on the Bus at Nighttime, Rodgers and Hart and Two Weeks with Pay. This collection also includes scripts, programs, posters, and production files for television programs written or produced by Lewine, such as Aladdin, Cinderella, My Name is Barbra, On the Flip Side, One Man Show, Pinocchio, Rodgers and Hart Today and Together with Music and one short film composed and produced by Lewine, The Days of Wilfred Owen. The strengths of this collection are its extensive coverage of orchestral parts for Lewine's musicals, especially The Girls Against the Boys and for its representation of Lewine's early, less documented shows. This collection includes materials from as early as 1897 and as late as 2004, but the bulk of the collection is from 1925-1984.

This series contains orchestral parts, oversized conductor scores, published music and score notebooks. Most of the music in this series is for musicals, songs and instrumental pieces written, produced or conceived by Lewine, thought there are also a few pieces by other composers. This series mainly consists of conductor scores and parts for The Girls Against the Boys, but The Fireman's Flame, The Girl from Wyoming, the unproduced The Liberty Tree, Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, Make Mine Manhattan, Naughty-Naught, Rodgers and Hart and Two Weeks with Pay are also well represented.

This series contains advertisements, album labels, liner notes, budgets, business correspondence, clippings, contracts, flyers, photographs, press releases, royalty statement and schedules for the short film, The Days of Wilfred Owen, songs, stage musicals and television programs written or produced by Lewine. The television programs, One Man Show and Pinocchio are particularly well documented here, with individual cast and crew contracts. This series also contains materials on lesser-known stage productions, such as Mad Money, Murder in the Old Red Barn and ‘Tis of Thee.

This series consists mainly of programs for stage musicals and revues with songs by Lewine, such as The Beach Point Club Revue of 1935, The Fireman's Flame, Fools Rush In, The Girl From Wyoming, The Girls Against the Boys, the USO show, It's All Yours, Mad Money, Make Mine Manhattan, Murder in the Old Red Barn, Naughty-Naught and Two Weeks with Pay. There are also programs for television events produced by Lewine, such as Pinocchio, Porgy and Bess at the Catfish Row Company and Together with Music.
