Robert Allan ("Bob") Boucher was an American conductor and musical director. From approximately 1946 to 1960, he was employed as Musical Director and Master of Ceremonies at the Roxy Theatre in New York City, where he rehearsed and conducted stage shows, wrote original music, and provided narration and music consultation for productions. The Robert Boucher papers date from 1953 to 1962 and contain partial manuscript and published scores and parts, programs, photographs, clippings, scripts, and a resume that document Boucher's work at the Roxy Theatre and for television specials and pilots. Boucher's original compositions in the collection are for the television productions Music on Ice and Championship Jazz, while his conducting at the Roxy is represented by arrangements. Photographs depict Boucher and the Roxy orchestra performing, scenes from Roxy productions, and Boucher with music talent such as Louis Armstrong. Clippings, photographs, and programs also document the performances of Peggy Wallace Boucher, his wife, a rollerskater who was featured during Roxy stage shows.
