The records of the Student Federalists contain and are arranged into four series: correspondence; files on conventions and other meetings held or attended by the organization; speeches, articles, and other writings by 1944-1945 president Thomas Hughes; and other general information about the members and activities of the Student Federalists. Materials date primarily during the years of the organization's existence (1942-1951), with a few documents of reminiscences falling at later dates. less

Donald S. Harrington, 1914-2005, was the Minister of the Community Church of New York, a Unitarian Universalist congregation, from 1944-1982. He also served as president of the United World Federalists, and as chairman of the Liberal Party of New York, 1966-1982. His papers consist of correspondence, sermons and other writings, topical files, estate and financial papers, and miscellaneous printed material reflecting Harrington's religious and political activities. less

The Campaign for World Government, founded by Rosika Schwimmer and Lola Maverick Lloyd in December 1937, was among the first organizations to advocate a democratic federal world government. The Campaign was divided between two offices in separate cities, with the international campaign headquartered in New York City and the national campaign in Chicago. This collection consists of the records of the New York office, but documents both the Campaign's international and national efforts. Records of the Chicago office are described separately. less

World Government News, Inc., of New York City, published World Government News, a monthly news bulletin which reported on trends in the world federalist movement, from 1946 to 1952. The periodical was edited by Tom O. Griessemer, Stewart M. Ogilvy and Hugh Nash. Collection consists of correspondence, administrative and financial records, photographs, and printed matter relating to World Government News, Inc. and its publication. General correspondence, 1946-1951, is of the editors with individuals and organizations involved in the world federal movement in the U.S. and abroad and with branches and chapters of United World Federalists, Inc. concerning the sponsorship of resolutions and referenda on world government. Other correspondence pertains to advertising and subscriptions. Administrative records include minutes, 1946-1950, of the Board of Directors' meetings and of the international editorial board, internal memoranda, circulation statistics, questionnaires, and materials about fundraising dinners. Also, financial records, morgue file of printed ephemera, file of publications issued by world federalist organizations (including issues of World Government News for 1943-1952), and photographs of personalities and events relating to world federalism. less

She held various positions with the World Federalists, USA and the United World Federalists. Collection consists of Blake's correspondence and professional writings, and documents from various world government organizations. Correspondence, 1948-1952, 1967, concerns her work for world government; writings include a newspaper column she wrote with Mark Van Doren and notes for speeches. Records, such as minutes, press releases, procedure manuals, brochures, advertisements, radio script, and filmstrip, document the activities of the World Federalists, USA, United World Federalists and other world government organizations. less
