Sarah Yardley Beers (1876-1946) was the great-niece of abolitionist James Miller McKim (1810-1874) and his wife Sarah A. McKim (1813-1891). Born in North Carolina, Sarah McKim Yardley was the daughter of Ellen Mulvany (1843-1924) of Millersville, Pennsylvania and William Buckman Yardley (1848-1885) of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Her mother married Edwin Ruthven Armstrong in 1886. In 1904 Sarah McKim Yardley married businessman Louis Gilbert Beers (1862-1935). Sarah Yardley Beers, as she was known, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and an officer of the Broad Seal Chapter of Trenton, New Jersey. The Sarah Yardley Beers family papers, 1807-1983, comprise her genealogical correspondence and research papers relating to her maternal ancestry, particularly the McKim, Miller and Mulvany families of Pennsylvania; her mother's school autograph album and photograph album; family photographs and certificates; clippings and ephemera; and a Bible containing Miller family data and her parents' wedding certificate. Also present is a small amount of genealogical correspondence of her son Yardley Beers, 1965 and 1983; an engraved portrait of Lucy McKim Garrison by Gustav Kruell, circa 1890s; and printed materials.

Carman collection dates from 1828 to 1923 and consists of items accumulated by Louis D. Carman, specifically correspondence and autographs; a friendship album containing poetry; and handwritten excerpts transcribed from books about fishing. A variety of documents bear the signatures of politicians and federal government officials; military generals; and businessmen. Sarah Epstein graduated from high school in 1936, and gathered the bulk of these autographs in the three years which followed. Three hardbound autograph albums, each measuring 15 x 10.5 cm., each bearing the word AUTOGRAPHS embossed on its cover. Albums contain mostly the autographs of actors, and also a small number of jazz musicians and singers, as well as schoolmates and family members of Sarah Epstein. Most of the actors whose autographs appear were movie performers, including Joan Crawford, James Cagney, Henry Fonda, Bob Hope, Gary Cooper, Judy Garland, Errol Flynn, and others, but several were known primarily as stage performers, including Katharine Cornell and George M. Cohan. Musicians whose autographs appear include Kay Kyser, Bunny Berrigan and Rudy Vallee.

Child actress, best known for playing the title roles in the original LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY (1888-1889) and THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, Elsie Leslie returned to the stage as a young adult to star in THE RIVALS (1898) and other plays. Born Elsie Leslie Lyde, she was married twice: in 1901 to actor Jefferson Winter, and in 1918 to banker Edwin J. Milliken. The collection contains letters to Elsie Leslie from friends and admirers, publicity photographs of Leslie as a child and an adult actress, and her autograph album containing letters, photographs, clippings, autographs and cards. Most of the letters concern personal matters: invitations, travels and health, though there is some discussion of possible roles and compliments on her performances. There is an extensive file of letters from playwright Louis N. Parker. Other correspondents include Poultney Bigelow, members of the Samuel Clemens family, Julie Harris, Helen Keller, Julia Marlowe, Schuyler Mathews, and Alexander Woollcott. Baron Edward de Lebzeltern-Collenbach was a member of the aristocratic Lebzeltern family of the Austrian Empire. His father, Francis, and uncle Louis were associates of Prince Metternich. Edward entered the diplomatic service in 1835 in London and then was transferred in 1844 to the Austrian legation in St. Petersburg, Russia. He was assigned to the Italian states of Parma and Modena in 1854 and then went to Lisbon in 1857. His daughter Marie married into the Portuguese aristocracy and his son Victor settled in the U.S. Collection contains correspondence, biographical essay, autograph album, and printed matter by and about members of the Lebzeltern family. Bulk of the correspondence consists of letters, 1834-1863, written by Edward to his father, providing an almost daily account of his activities while he was in London, St. Petersburg, Lisbon, and other European cities. Other correspondence, 1844-1925, includes letters written by various members of Edward's family. Also, essay on the life of Jacques Casanova, autograph album, death notices, and eulogies.

The Lajos Szendi autograph album contains primarily autograph signatures of musicians. Some of the autographs have been written directly onto the leaves of the album, while others have been pasted in from scraps of paper, visiting cards, and other items. The book also contains several loose photographic postcards, programs, handbills, and newspaper clippings, most of which are signed and have been inserted between the leaves. Identifiable among the signers are: the opera singer, Mme. Charles Cahier, violinist, Jascha Heifetz, conductor, Ferdinand Löwe, composers Giacomo Puccini and Richard Strauss, and American suffragist, Carrie Chapman Catt. In addition to the famous names represented, the album contains numerous autographs belonging to Hungarian musicians or other individuals not as well known outside of Hungary.
