Scope and arrangement
The collection contains photographs, a script, two clippings, and two letters documenting the career of actress Charlotte Walker. The papers span ca. 1900 to 1942. Photographs include Walker in some early stage roles, including The Crisis (1902), unidentified film stills, and portraits. There is also a photograph of a beloved maid, Lizzie, actress Beatrice Cameron (Mrs. Richard Mansfield), and an unidentified man in uniform.
Also included is a script for a play, Made Land (1935), with some notes. Clippings include an undated piece on Walker's daughter, actress Sara Haden, and one on the Wallack's Theatre production of The Embarrassment of Riches (1906), in which Walker appeared. A letter from Langdon Mitchell (undated) and one from Actors' Equity Association (June 2, 1942) are also in the collection.
