Charlie Uno (born Charles M. Feldheim, 1876-1959) was an entertainment reporter, columnist, and editor in New York City from 1892 until his death. From the mid-1930s to 1959, he worked for Billboard magazine, writing the columns "U-Notes" and "Burlesque Bits," in addition to serving as the magazine's Coney Island correspondent. The Charlie Uno papers date from 1909 to 1959 and contain correspondence, clippings, press releases and kits, story drafts, and photographs, primarily related to Uno's work at Billboard. The bulk of the collection consists of photographs, including headshots of burlesque performers and other entertainers. The papers are arranged alphabetically by subject or document type.
