Scope and arrangement
The F. F. Müller choral scores date from the late 19th century. They consist of manuscripts for mixed choirs or male choruses, some credited to Müller, and others with no credit. Most are for liturgical purposes, but one set of parts are college songs for male chorus. All the scores are for vocalists only (though some have rehearsal piano parts), with three exceptions: Father in Heaven is for choir and organ, and Madonna Santa, Hear My Prayer, by G. Wöhler, is a published song with piano accompaniment and added choral part manuscripts, as is God of Israel, by A. Miné. A portion of the music in the collection was written for the Anniversary of the Sunday Schools of the Church of the Ascension (Episcopal) on May 6, 1877; a program for the service is present as well.
Arrangement
The collection is in two divisions: General scores, and particular pieces or projects, which are arranged alphabetically.
