Sally Townsend Carter (1895- ) was a pianist who founded the Wilton School of Music in Wilton, Conn. Collection consists of correspondence, concert programs, biographical information, and accounts. Correspondence, 1935-1938, is for the most part related to Carter's project to provide musical programs for children at movie theatres.
