Scope and arrangement
The collection includes correspondence, 1960-1974, with poets, scholars, translators, and editors related to Haiku, some letters and papers, 1948 and 1960, concerning Post Wheeler's translation of the Ho-Dan-Zo, and general correspondence of the 1930s. There are also drafts of An Introduction to Haiku, notes on Haiku, typescript and author's file copy of Tales from the Japanese Storytellers, selected and edited by Henderson, lecture notes for a course in Japanese grammar, manuscript of "How to Determine Dates of Japanese Color Prints..." by K. C. Kondo, and some papers relating to the Haiku Society of America.
