Scope and arrangement
The Aleksei Lapteff Photograph Collection mostly consists of portrait photographs of Lapteff's family as well as photographs of Grigorii Rasputin and the youngest daughter of Leo Tolstoy, Aleksandra Tolstaya. The collection contains black and white photos of largely unidentified male and female subjects. Among the subjects are military officers, military camps and ceremonies, sports and recreation, cars, boats and group photographs.

This Series mostly consists of portrait photographs of Lapteff's family as well as photographs of Grigorii Rasputin and the youngest daughter of Leo Tolstoy, Aleksandra Tolstaya.

Series II contains black and white photos of largely unidentified male and female subjects. Among subjects are military officers, military camps and ceremonies, sports and recreation, cars, boats and group photographs.

Series III includes negatives of American Relief Administration, Ufa (1921-1923).

Series IV includes pictures of the Romanov family, Metropolitan Leonty as well as personal A. Lapteff papers.
