Dancer, dance teacher, and dance critic Rosalyn Krokover (1913-1973) studied at the Pavley-Oukrainsky Ballet School in Chicago. She danced with several companies including the Chicago Opera ballet and was a dance teacher in Pittsburgh before becoming a dance critic. Krokover contributed to a number of publications, including Dance Magazine, Saturday Review, and Musical Courier, for which she was the dance editor. Photographs (both candid images and portraits) depict Krokover as early as the 1920s through 1972. Her time at the Pavley-Oukrainsky Ballet School is documented by a photo album and a scrapbook provides an overview of the early years of Krokover's career. Krokover's critiques are represented by clippings of her dance reviews and articles.
