Pieter Sommen is a New Jersey-based photographer. His collection contains contact sheets, negatives, and slides depicting the 1978 Electric Spaghetti Festival in New York City, and the dancer Jeannette Leentvaar.

Biographical/historical information

Pieter Sommen is a photographer who lives in Hoboken, New Jersey. He took photographs of dancers in New York City in the 1970s and 1980s.

Scope and arrangement

The collection dates from 1978 to 1983, and consists of contact sheets, negatives, and slides shot by Sommen. The images depict the 1978 Electric Spaghetti festival in New York City, and the dancer Jeannette Leentvaar. There are also two prints of Albert Reid and Jeannette Jeannette Leentvaar by the photographer Herbert Ascherman, as well as a program and announcement for an event of Albert Reid's choreography from 1983.
