Scope and arrangement
The Gluck Sandor papers date from 1922 to 1999 and document the career of Gluck Sandor, particularly his work during the 1920s and 1930s with his wife, Felicia Sorel. The collection consists of scrapbook pages, articles, and biographical and professional files. The scrapbook pages primarily contain articles and programs from the 1920s and 1930s. The success of Sandor and Sorel's early recitals and events at the Dance Center in New York City are well documented.
Biographical and professional files in the collection consist of biographies, resumes, photographs, clippings, and some correspondence. Correspondence is primarily professional in nature and relates to some of Sandor and Sorel's projects between 1929 and 1940. Documents from 1999 consist of interview transcriptions with Phillip Sandor II and biographical notes on Gluck Sandor.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged into two categories: Scrapbook and Articles; and Biographical and Professional Files.
