Scope and arrangement
This is a synthetic collection consisting of portraits, legal documents, a manuscript and typescript, and correspondence. The portrait is a photograph with Joseph Conrad. There are agreements between George Gissing, or Pinker as agent, and Cassell & company, and agreements from various theatrical agencies concerning Pinker. The correspondence includes drafts of letters to George Gissing, letters to Messrs. Hurst & Blackett, to William Wymark Jacobs, and to Eric Pinker relating to Joseph Conrad. There are also letters from various correspondents relating to James B. Pinker.
