Scope and arrangement
The collection of papers of Arnold Genthe consists of letters, and some drafts for his published autobiography, as well as writings by other people.|||Of a special interest is an unsigned carbon copy to one of Arnold Genthe's clients from photographer's Executor, informing the client that he had only three months to purchase the glass negatives of his photographs, before the negatives should have been destroyed.|||Correspondence, writings in English and Italian.
The Arnold Genthe correspondence and writings are arranged in two series:

Correspondence is arranged in three groups: letters from Arnold Genthe, letters to Arnold Genthe, and letters about him. Within the groups letters are arranged alphabetically.

Writings are arranged in two groups: writings by Arnold Genthe, and writings by other people.
