Scope and arrangement
The Carl Samrock photographs contain black and white photographs taken by him from 1967 to 1977. Most photographs are stills of actors and others in the entertainment industry, while some depict theater performances. Prominent subjects include Anne Baxter, John Gielgud, Jennifer O'Neill, and Susan Tyrell. Two of the more substantial sets of photographs document performances of The Misanthrope and Private Lives. The collection consists of prints and sets of photographs with accompanying negatives. Some of the prints are mounted on boards, and some of the photographic sets contain letters or purchase receipts from publications.
Arrangement
Arranged alphabetically by subject. Prints are boxed separately from the photographic sets, as they are larger in size.
