Scope and arrangement
The Lotte Stavisky papers date from 1935 to 2000 and contain correspondence, photographs, programs, clippings, and contracts that document Stavisky's career in acting, both before and after her arrival in the United States, as well as her work as a sculptor. The majority of the correspondence is photocopied. The papers also hold photocopied duplicates of identity and immigration papers from Stavisky's early life in Germany, her move to Austria, and emigration from Europe during the Third Reich.
Materials in the collection are in English and German.
