Edna Sedgwick (1915-2002) was a dancer, vaudeville performer, and actress. She appeared on film in You're a Sweetheart (1937), Red Barry (1938), and Swing, Sister, Swing (1938), and on the Broadway stage in the revue Boys and Girls Together (1941). The Edna Sedgwick photographs date from the 1920s to the 1970s, and include studio portraits and photographs with and of fellow performers from throughout her career. Some photographs of other entertainers may include inscriptions. Business associates of Sedgwick's husbands Sam Maceo (a Galveston, Texas restaurant and night club owner) and Henry G. Plitt (president of ABC Television and chief executive of Plitt Theatres) are also depicted.
