Heather Henderson worked as a dramaturg at the Yale Repertory Theatre. She attended the Yale School of Drama from 1984 to 1988, where she earned her M.F.A. and D.F.A. in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism. Her papers contain study guides she created for Yale Repertory Theatre productions of George Bernard Shaw's Heartbreak House (1986) and August Wilson's Fences (the 1985 world premiere), and scripts for Fences and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (1984). There are also programs for various non-Yale theater productions, some of which Henderson worked on.
