Scope and arrangement
The collection, dated 1944-1981 (bulk dates 1940s), contains mostly radio scripts that document the Golden Age of Radio. The scripts are for anthologies or individually titled shows and do not represent the entire run of the programs. Some scripts lack complete identifying information. Popular series or individual shows represented in the collection include the anthologies Cavalcade of America, and The Chicago Theatre of the Air; and shows Crime Files of Flamond, the Gene Autry Show, and Jack Armstrong the All-American Boy. The collection also holds several televised scripts of the soap opera The Doctors; a television movie script for The Easter Promise written by Gail Rock, and a script for the children's show Quiz Kids TV.
