Scope and arrangement
The collection, dating from 1928 to 1962, holds television and radio scripts and screenplays.
The radio scripts, dating from 1928 to 1962, make up the bulk of the collection. Many of them were broadcast and include titles such as The American Challenge, The Black Chapel, Mr. and Mrs. North, and We the People (radio and television).
The screenplays and television scripts, dating from 1942 to 1957, were produced for movies and television networks. Some of the scripts have been annotated. The files include some minor correspondence between Chevigny and his clients. The remaining material includes scripts by Herman J. Mankiewicz, Susan Peters, and Monty Woolley.
