Scope and arrangement
The bulk of the Aundrie Robinson papers reflect Robinson's commitment to fighting racism. Many of the files provide general information about the RTU; other files detail specific projects of this organization, particularly a project to combat racial harassment in Brattleboro Public High School, and the implementation of Vermont's Equal Education Opportunity Act of 1997. This effort was associated with the Vermont Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in conjunction with civil rights enforcement in Vermont (1987). Robinson also worked with the United Way of Windham County to provide funding for its member organizations. As an activist in both Vermont and Massachusetts, Robinson collected printed material about African American and women's activities. A grouping of Boston-based gay and lesbian newspapers and clippings can also be found here.
