Scope and arrangement
The collection consists of seven audio and four video recordings, dating from 1988 to 1995. They are arranged chronologically. The audio items include Haywood Burns's self-recordings about CUNY School of Law, highlights from a conference called "The Supreme Court and Daily Life: Who Will the Court Protect in the 1990's?", and speeches on legal matters by Colin Greer, President of the New World Foundation, and JoAnne Page, former CEO of The Fortune Society. The audio items' original formats are cassettes, and two of them contain two parts, one for each side of the cassette. The videos include an interview with Russian historian Dmitri Antonovich Volkogonov about the Alger Hiss case, the documentary film Juvenile Detention: The Broward County Story (1992), an episode of Berger and Diskin's Show and Tell Mime, and a memorial service for Judge Simon H. Rifkind. Item titles are devised from the content of the recordings.
