Key Women of America, Inc. is a community service organization founded by Bertha Nelms Harris in 1954 to help homeless children secure foster and adoptive homes in New York City. The collection contains one audio recording of Key Women of America events held in 1981, including a workshop and conference proceedings.

Key Women of America, Inc. is a community service organization founded by Bertha Nelms Harris in 1954 to help homeless children secure foster and adoptive homes in New York City. Other programs they have administered include substance abuse prevention, hospital volunteer services, job development, support for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals, programs for preschool children, and scholarships.

Scope and arrangement

The collection contains one audio recording of Key Women of America events held in 1981, including a workshop and conference proceedings. Speakers at the conference include Bertha Nelms Harris, the founder of Key Women of America. The original format of the audio recording was cassette, containing two parts.
