These records of the Casa Real de Moneda (Royal Mint) of Potosí, Bolivia include letters and other documents from 1771-1772. All documents are written in Spanish and pertain to the restoration of the Casa Real de Moneda. Correspondence is between Pedro de Tagle, Superintendent of the Mint, and Viceroy Don Manuel Amat y Triment. The letters deal with architectural and engineering details concerning the layout of workshops and offices in the mint; machinery for refining silver and gold; and provisions for ventilation and obtaining water, and building materials.
