Collection consists of a contract for the construction of the pedestal of the monument to Shakespeare in Central Park, as well as ephemera relating to the inauguration of the monument; correspondence, including letters to Lenox librarian Samuel Austin Allibone discussing various editions of Shakespeare's work; an offer to donate a bust of Shakespeare to the Lenox library; and rubbings taken from Shakespeare's tomb.
