Marco Aurelio Caccavelli, Doctor in Theology of the University of Pisa, Italy, served as a priest at Samana, Santo Domingo, and Miragoane, Haiti. Poetical writings (in Italian) of Caccavelli consist of autobiographical material; letters in verse, 1876; poems and sonnets; and information about Monsignor Casanelli, Bishop of Ajaccio, Corsica. Also, annotations containing correspondence concerning ecclesiastical affairs in Haiti, 1862-1869.
