Clarence Chatham Cook (1828-1900) was a 19th-century American author and art critic known for his expertise in archeology and antiquities. The collection consists mainly of letters written by Cook to English landscape artist T.C. Farrer. Also present are several letters to Gordon Lester Ford, and a small quantity of letters from Cook's wife, Louisa De Windt Whittmore Cook, also mainly to Farrer
