Theodore Dwight Weld was an abolitionist, author, and superintendent of schools in New Jersey and Massachusetts. This collection contains an account book kept by Theodore Dwight Weld regarding accounts with parents and guardians of students attending his schools at Belleville and Eagleswood, New Jersey, between 1850 and 1860. Entries include accounts for board and tuition, school books, clothing and incidentals; as well as lists of students and of applicants for vacancies; memoranda entitled "Wishes of Parents and Pupils' Needs;" and addresses of patrons. Vouchers for payments made to teachers between 1850 and 1853 are also pasted in the book
