Amy L. Waters began this diary during a tour of Europe from June 19-September 13, 1907 and continued making entries for several years. The last entry was made September 20, 1910. Waters visited England, Scotland, France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Her descriptions stress visits to the theater in London and dining with Hamilton Revelle. Entries made in 1908, 1909, and 1910 describe vacations at Lake George, New York and elsewhere in New England and eastern Canada. The last portion of the diary contains notes on European history lectures Waters attended at the Lowell Institute
