The Triangle Film Corporation and its subsidiaries, the Triangle Film Service (Canada), the Triangle Distributing Corporation and the Western Triangle Distributing Corporation, represent some of the major New York-based motion picture companies for the period 1912-1925, known as the classic era of silent movies. Collection consists of organizational records of the Triangle Film Corporation, the Reliance Motion Picture Company and other film studios. Triangle records, 1915-1920, contain items such as minutes of board of directors, cash books and accounts. Reliance records, 1914-1923, include minutes, journals, cash books, ledgers, and related financial papers. Other film studios represented in the collection are K-T Film Distributing Corporation, Keystone Film Company, Majestic Motion Picture Company, New York Motion Picture Corporation, Serial Publication Corporation, and Tri-Stone Pictures, Inc.
