Shipping receipts from Hudson River ship captains for foodstuffs and livestock forwarded and sold for R. S. Crawford, Moses Crawford, Alexander Crawford, and James Crawford, from Newburgh, New York to New York City, via steamboats and other vessels. The Crawfords were farmers in Crawford, Orange County, New York. Freight included butter, corn, and rye flour, as well as calves and hogs. Receipts are printed forms illustrated with images of sailing or steam vessels, also identifying the ship, captain, dock name, and services.
