This collection brings together various deeds, indentures, receipts, governmental reports, and other documents related to the early history of New York Colony and State (1673-1799). Among these items are papers from New York governors Richard Nicolls, Edmund Andros, Benjamin Fletcher, and Cadwallader Colden; Massachusetts Bay Governor William Burnet; and New York City Mayors Matthias Nicoll and Robert Walters, among others.
