Letters to the Rev. Nathaniel J. Ostrander, 1889-1927, and his daughter Gertrude, 1927-1942, from members of the Ostrander family in the United States in response to his requests for information needed to compile an Ostrander genealogy. The collection also contains copies of some of his outgoing letters, his genealogical research notes, a few transcripts of 17th and 18th century indentures, and several original documents, 1804-1819, including an 1804 letter to Cornelius Ostrander of Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York from his brother in Leyden, and an inventory of goods and their value taken by Nathaniel Ostrander.
