The Lawrance was a British slave ship, probably in the service of the South Sea Company. Log of a voyage of the Lawrance, Abraham Dumaresq, commander, from Gravesend, England to Holland, and on to Loango, on the west coast of Africa. Departure with slaves aboard for delivery to Buenos Aires, followed by a return toward England with a cargo of hides. In addition to routine entries of longitude, latitude, and wind conditions, log notes deaths of slaves aboard.
