Abigail Hopper Gibbons (1801-1893) was an American philanthropist, abolitionist and prison reformer. Collection contains Gibbons's journal relating to the operation and management of the New York Infant Asylum in New York City. Also, notes on meetings of the house committee and board of managers, inspection tours, and inmate statistics.
