Marvin E. Gettleman (1933- ) is a professor of history at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He has written books about Vietnam, El Salvador and U.S. history. Collection consists of Gettleman's research notes and other items he acquired during the course of research for a proposed biography of John Huston Finley (1863-1940). Included are a few items of correspondence; reminiscences of Finley by his wife, Martha Boyden Finley; copies of papers by or relating to Finley; copies of published articles by Gettleman; and two reels of microfilm relating to Finley made from original sources at various libraries and research institutions.
