Gay rights activist and journalist. The papers consist of correspondence and typescripts of articles sent by Jackson to the editor of GAY POWER. As West Coast representative of GAY POWER Jackson reported on events relating to the struggle for gay rights in California, especially in Berkeley, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The articles report on demonstrations, protest marches and other events affecting the gay community.
