Scope and arrangement
The Collection consists of his correspondence with prominent American and foreign lawyers, journalist, politicians and scholars (1916-1932), Some notable correspondents were William Howard Taft, Theodore Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover and William Jennings Bryan There are also many letters from, patriotic American organizations in New York City namely The American Defense Society, The American Rights League and The National Security League Inc.. There is material such as questionnaires (1914-1917) by the N. Y. State Bar Association on the judicial power over legislation. A scrapbook of newspaper clippings is included in the collection.
