Scope and arrangement
Includes mostly photocopies and reproductions (but also some originals) of printed matter, clippings, charts, genealogical research notes, coats of arms, pamphlets, newspapers, photographs, cemetery, church, and vital records relating to various topics, organizations, churches, patriotic societies, religious groups, events, and individuals of genealogical or historical interest.
Several of the files contain transcripts of records and notes for the Nine Partners Monthly Meeting (Dutchess Co., New York Society of Friends), as well as a small number of items on Canada, England and Brazil; a few of the topics are: genealogy, heraldry, land patents, New York City churches, New York State history, schools, and ships. Of note is a typed transcript (found under the topic French and Indian War) of a soldier's journal during the French and Indian War, traveling from Colchester, New York to Ticonderoga, New York, 1828.
