Virginia Miller was a dancer who studied under Ruth St. Denis and performed with the Ruth St. Denis Dancers. The collection documents Miller's relationship with St. Denis and contains photographs of Miller, St. Denis, Ted Shawn, and the Ruth St. Denis Dancers and correspondence written to and from St. Denis, Miller, and Karl Heinrich. Typescripts of writings by St. Denis, a list of books recommended by St. Denis to her students, a notebook, and Miller's diary in which she recorded everyday events and plans for performances are included.
