Scope and arrangement
The Evelyn Sabin papers contain scrapbooks and photographs documenting Sabin's dance career from the 1920s to 1940, including her work with Martha Graham. Scrapbooks contain clippings, programs, photographs, and a small number of letters and telegrams. Included are photographs of The Flute of Krishna, performed in 1926 and choreographed by Graham. The scrapbooks also contain clippings and programs of the Rochester Community Players from 1930 to 1933, when Sabin was performing with them.
The collection contains a scrapbook documenting Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Sabin's singing and teaching careers from 1902 to 1910; and two scrapbooks concerning Leopold Mannes' music career, his work with Kodak, and the Mannes College of Music.
