Scope and arrangement
The collection dates from 1978 to 1985 and contains one folder of papers chronicling Clinton's professional dance career. The collection includes schedules and itineraries from Clinton's tenure with the Pauline Koner Dance Consort between 1978 and 1980, a 1980 summer contact from the University of Southern Mississippi, a 1981 contract with Danzahoy, and travel itineraries from his time with the Don Redlich Dance Company. The rest of the papers relate to Clinton's work with the José Limón Dance Company between 1982 and 1986. These materials contain agreements, tour itineraries, letters from artistic director Carla Maxwell, and handwritten dance instructions. Also included is a photocopy of José Limón's opening convocation speech at Connecticut College American dance festival, and a photocopied 1959 letter from Limón regarding the 10th anniversary of The Moor's Pavane.
