Cornelia Turner, née de Boinville, wife of Thomas Turner, English lawyer and banker. In 1813 she befriended the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. · To Claire Clairmont, of the Shelley circle : 1 autograph letter signed : 3 Oct 1852 : (S'ANA 0124) : 2 pages (double sheet) + envelope : from Rue de Clichy, Paris : begins, "I answer as you request by return of post your letter of the 2d instant which I have just received. I can clearly state that I was acquainted with you when we were both gilrs . . ."; later saying, "I had already heard with regret of the death of Mrs. Shelley . . . .".
