Robert Triphook, antiquarian bookseller and publisher. · To Sir Egerton Brydges, writer and genealogist : 1 autograph letter signed : 15 Oct 1820 : (MISC 3782) : 3 pages (double sheet) : from 23 Old Bond Street : begins, "I wrote in reply to your former Letters early in August by a Gentleman who was leaving London for Italy . . ."; discussing the commercial failure of Brydges' latest publication, Tragic Tales, but expressing optimism for his Population and Riches of Nations, which Triphook says "would come out well with Godwin's answer to Malthus, now on the eve of publication.".
