John Taylor, English publisher and writer. The John Taylor (publisher) manuscript material in the Pforzheimer Collection consists of writings and correspondence. The writings include a draft review of T. S. Hughes's Travels in Sicily, Greece Albania; and a memo regarding the poet John Clare. The bulk of the correspondence is dated between 1820 and 1825 and relates to the Taylor and Hessey publishing firm and the London Magazine. Correspondents include: Leigh Hunt, poet, journalist and literary critic; Lord Radstock, naval officer and literary patron; Robert Southey, poet; and a few others.
