Thomas Noon Talfourd, English writer, judge, and politician. The Thomas Noon Talfourd manuscript material in the Pforzheimer Collection consists of writings and correspondence. The writings include some early holograph poems, and notes for debates of the Academical Society (one on Byron vs. Wordsworth; one on Queen Caroline). The bulk of the correspondence is dated between 1835 and 1842. Correspondents include: Charles Cowden Clarke, writer and public lecturer; Edward Moxon, publisher; Charles Ollier, publisher and bookseller; and over a dozen others.
