· Holograph biography (fragment), Chapter XXII from his Life of George Washington : [circa 1855?] : (MISC 0677) : in ink; on sheets of varying sizes, mounted to 21 leaves within a brown half pebble-grain calf binding, spine gilt, with marbled boards. Narrative text begins, "While affairs were approaching a crisis in Virginia, troubles were threatening from the north." Shelved under "Irving" with bound manuscript materials.
· Holograph page from his Life of George Washington : [circa 1855?] : (MISC 3983) : one page, numbered "231," with some cancellations and emendations; begins, "Ravaging incursions from Canada had harassed the northern parts of the State of New York of late . . . ." Tipped into the grangerized copy of Hazlitt's Spirit of the Age. Shelved with bound manuscripts under "Hazlitt.".
· Holograph page from his History of the Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus : [before 1828] : (MISC 3536) : one page, numbered "335," with some cancellations; begins, ". . . the country, while the Spaniards who remained loyal, fearing conspiracies among the natives . . . .".
· Holograph announcement signed : [on of after 13 November 1851] : (MISC 0651) : one page; in his capacity as president of "Friends of the Late J. Fenimore Cooper," a committee formed to create a monument to Cooper in New York; announcing that Henry Grinnell will act as Treasurer; endorsed by committee Secretary Rufus W. Griswold.
· Autograph notes on the Tower of London : [no date] : (MISC 4490) : 1 page (double sheet) : [no place] : begins, " . . . to [also?] - Quanto plus afflictionis pro Christo in hoc saeculo, tanto plus gloriae cum Christo in futuro . . . ." Briefly discusses carved memorial of Lady Jane Grey.
