· To Robert Purdie, music seller in Edinburgh : 1 autograph letter signed : 18 January 1828 : (MISC 1488) : begins, "I inclose you eight more songs [not present] for your correspondents ...".
· To William Roscoe, historian and patron of the arts : 1 autograph address panel : 17 Oct 1814 : (MISC 4023) 24d : reads, "William Roscoe Esq. / Allerton / Liverpool." With a note in an unknown hand attesting that the hand is Hogg's.
· To Jane Wilson, elder sister of writer John Wilson and zoologist James Wilson : 1 autograph letter signed : 4 January 1815 : (MISC 1489) : thanking her for the medicine she sent; begins, "I never got so sweet a drug all the days of my life ...".
· To John Wilson [pseud. Christopher North], author and journalist : 1 autograph letter (fragment) : 10 Mar 1832 : (MISC 4047) : begins, "The Walton and Cotton Club gave me a public dinner yesterday at which you and I were admitted honourary members ...".
